Flint on the Lawn Gospel Concert Announces New September Date

Flint on the Lawn: A Gospel Concert Under the Stars has been rescheduled after its original August date was postponed because of expected inclement weather.

The free, family-friendly concert will now take place Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Flint River Community Center in Riverdale.

Guests can enjoy uplifting performances from the Flint River Community Center Choir, Frank Bailey Senior Center Choir, Sonna Singleton Gregory Senior Center Choir and a children’s choir.

Avery Dixon, the saxophonist who gained national recognition on America’s Got Talent, will also perform as the special guest.

A live DJ, food vendors and giveaways will add to the evening’s activities. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and relax beneath the evening sky.
