Volunteer Clayton County Invites Community to Join Its Team for Forest Park’s 28th Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk
Volunteer Clayton County is putting together an official team for the 28th Annual Forest Park 5K Fun Run/Walk, and there’s still time for more Volunteer Clayton County members new and old, to join the group and represent the community.
The race takes place Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Starr Park in Forest Park. The 5K begins at 8:30 a.m. at 803 Forest Parkway, Forest Park, GA 30297.
The City of Forest Park Recreation and Leisure Services Department hosts the annual event, which brings runners, walkers, families, community groups and organizations together for a morning centered on health and fitness.
This year’s race is also being held in recognition of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.
The event is open to both runners and walkers, so you do not have to be an experienced runner to participate. The City of Forest Park also plans to recognize top finishers and the team with the most participants.
