The Clayton County Office of Digital Equity offers a give-a-way of 150 FREE laptops in partnership with Compudopt Atlanta on Thurs., March 21, 2024

In a continuous effort to close the digital divide, the Digital Equity team works diligently to form partnerships to help provide the free and low-cost digital devices to Clayton County residents.


MUST register by Mon., March 18, 2024 at 5 p.m.


Chief Operating Officer Detrick Stanford says, "The Clayton County Board of Commissioners is committed to providing and expanding access to digital resources for our residents."

"We are so thankful and excited to partner with Compudopt to provide this invaluable resource to our community," said Digital Equity Administrator Takiyah Thomas." Having a computer in the home, along with access to the internet opens up a world of opportunities, beyond the classroom, and exposes our children and young adults to careers and skills that may not have otherwise known about."


Residents must meet the following qualifications for eligibility:


  • MUST be a Clayton County resident.

  • MUST have a school-aged child in the home (K-12).

  • MUST be in attendance on the day of the event to receive the device.

  • MUST register by Mon., March 18, 2024 at 5 p.m.

  • MUST NOT currently own a working computer in the home.

  • MUST NOT have received a free device at a past Compudopt event.


Clayton County residents must register by accessing https://www.compudopt.org/atlanta. Click the green Computer Giveaway button on the website and submit the registration form. Follow the prompts for: How did you hear about us? You must select Clayton County Office of Digital Equity to be contacted for the giveaway. Eligible residents will be contacted via text or email to confirm the pickup of the free laptop while supplies last.
