Last Day Before Deadline: Jonesboro Seeking Applicants for Downtown Development Authority Board
If you care about the future of Downtown Jonesboro and want to have a role in its continued growth, there is still time to apply to serve on the Jonesboro Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board.
The City of Jonesboro is accepting applications for four community-minded individuals to serve on the DDA Board. The application deadline is Wednesday, September 16, 2026, making today the final day before the deadline.
The Downtown Development Authority plays an important role in supporting economic development, encouraging business growth and helping guide revitalization efforts within Downtown Jonesboro.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet at least one of the following qualifications:
Be a taxpayer residing within the incorporated City of Jonesboro.
Be an owner or operator of a business located within Downtown Jonesboro and also a taxpayer residing in Clayton County.
Have a combination of the qualifications listed above. One director may also be a member of the governing body of the incorporated City of Jonesboro.
Business owners who are unsure whether their business falls within the Downtown Jonesboro DDA District should review the DDA District Map provided by the City.
