Clayton County continues to grow through organizations that focus on outreach, mentorship, and community engagement. Sisters Tangela Morris and Tiffany DeWalt, founders of Ladies In Full Effect Inc. (L.I.F.E.), have spent years building connections, hosting events, and supporting residents across Riverdale and surrounding areas.

The two sisters moved to Clayton County more than 10 years ago on separate occasions and quickly found opportunities to expand their community involvement. Their organization, Ladies In Full Effect Inc., originally started in 2005 as a youth group and later transitioned into a full community outreach program centered around enrichment, mentorship, and service.
Clayton County became the place where they officially expanded their mission. Since then, they have hosted community events, built relationships with local partners, and continued creating opportunities for residents to connect and support one another.

They describe Clayton County as a hub for building connections with like-minded individuals and organizations. They also appreciate how each city within the county offers events for residents to participate in and stay engaged. Living near the Riverdale Town Center has allowed them to stay connected to local happenings, and they value how county leadership and public safety departments keep residents informed. For them, Clayton County feels like a community, not just a place to live.
Like many growing metro areas, they recognize challenges such as traffic, overcrowding, and concerns surrounding schools and the jail system. However, they believe increased community involvement and awareness can help address these issues and create positive outcomes.
One memorable moment that stood out to them was when monks walking for peace passed through Clayton County. Watching the county welcome them and provide a place for rest highlighted the sense of unity and hospitality within the community.
Ladies In Full Effect Inc. continues to stay active by partnering with organizations such as Hearts to Nourish Hope, Helping Hands Now, and others to host community events. In March, they hosted their first job fair at the Hearts to Nourish Hope site, followed by a community event serving hot meals while keeping residents engaged with music and activities. They plan to continue hosting events and collaborating with additional partners throughout Clayton County.
