Georgia Golden Olympics Torch Lighting Ceremony and Parade of Athletes Coming to Jonesboro

Clayton County residents are invited to celebrate athletes ages 50 and older during the Georgia Golden Olympics Torch Lighting Ceremony and Parade of Athletes on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

This free community celebration will honor participating athletes with a ceremonial torch lighting and parade. Guests can also enjoy music from a live DJ and food trucks throughout the evening.

The Georgia Golden Olympics is a statewide competition offering activities for adults 50 and older across a variety of ages, fitness levels and physical abilities. Admission: Free and open to the community

Seating will be provided for registered athletes.

Spectators and other attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for their comfort.
