Educators across Clayton County, Georgia are receiving welcome news. A $2,000 one-time supplement approved in Georgia’s state budget is being distributed to teachers and eligible school staff, and it’s a moment worth celebrating.

Congratulatory graphic featuring Trina Kolawole, co-owner of The Best of Clayton County, smiling and wearing colorful pink and green glasses with a checkered blazer. The design includes celebratory confetti and bold text that reads “Congratulations from The Best of Clayton County and Trina Kolawole, Co-Owner” in bright brand-style colors.

This bonus recognizes the daily work happening in classrooms, school buildings, buses, cafeterias, and offices throughout Clayton County Public Schools. From early mornings to after-school support, educators across the county continue to serve students and families in meaningful ways that shape the future of the community.

The $2,000 supplement is a one-time payment funded by the state of Georgia and is expected to go to state-funded K-12 education positions, including:

  • Teachers

  • Paraprofessionals

  • Administrators

  • Bus drivers

  • Custodians

  • School nutrition staff

  • Nurses and support personnel

While this is not a permanent salary increase, it is a welcome recognition of the dedication shown by educators throughout Clayton County.

At The Best of Clayton County, we are excited to celebrate this news and recognize the individuals who show up for students every day. Our schools play a major role in the strength of our community, and this bonus is a positive step in acknowledging the value of that work.
