The City of Jonesboro is getting ready for a major patriotic celebration as the community comes together for America’s 250th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
This free community event will take place at Lee Street Park, located at 155 Lee Street, Jonesboro, GA 30236. The Kids Zone will open from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and the main celebration will run from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Families can enjoy an evening filled with live music, entertainment, food vendors, a kids play zone, family fun, and a fireworks finale. The celebration will feature live performances by Cupid, Syleena Johnson, and The Emerald Empire Band, with music by DJ Ezzy.
As Jonesboro joins communities across the country in recognizing 250 years of American history, this event gives residents and visitors a chance to celebrate together in the heart of Clayton County. Guests are encouraged to bring their family, friends, and patriotic spirit for an evening of community, music, and celebration.
