The Gathering Brings Wellness, Nutrition Education, and Back-to-School Support to Lake City

Clayton County families are invited to attend The Gathering, a community-centered event focused on wellness, nutrition education, school support, resources, and celebration.
Hosted by Hand, Heart + Soul Project with Georgia Youth Career Center, LLC, The Gathering will take place on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Lake City Community Center, located at 5471 Jonesboro Road, Lake City, GA 30260.
This event is designed to bring the community together for an evening of education, support, and connection. Guests can look forward to nutrition education, a back-to-school restock, live demonstrations, community resources, and exciting giveaways.

Event highlights include:
Nutrition Education
Families can learn helpful information about wellness, healthy habits, and nutrition in a community-friendly setting.
Back-to-School Restock
Students and families will have access to back-to-school support to help prepare for the school year.
Resource Oasis
Community members can connect with resources and information designed to support local families.
Exciting Giveaways
The event will also feature giveaways for attendees.
