Students Required to have Clear Bookbags Clayton County Public Schools

Clayton County, GA- Via the Clayton County Board of Education Work Session May 31, 2022 we learned that the students grades 3 to 12 will be required to have clear backpacks at the return of school. Initially Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) Superintendent/CEO of Schools Dr. Morecase J. Beasley suggested that the parents be required to provide those clear backpacks individually per child. Both Jessie Goree and Mary Baker voiced concerns and recommended that Clayton County Public Schools purchase those clear backpacks for each student if they are to be required. Goree referenced the "healthy" fund balance that should make it no problem to purchase those clear backpacks in bulk. Beasley agreed. View YouTube video link below.
