MTS Sickle Cell Foundation Hosts 5th Annual SCD Youth Empowerment Educational Luncheon in Riverdale

MTS Sickle Cell Foundation, Inc. will host its 5th Annual SCD Youth Empowerment Educational Luncheon on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 12 PM to 3 PM at Flint River Community Center in Riverdale.
The luncheon is part of the 2026 Warrior On The Rise initiative, a program dedicated to uplifting young people and families impacted by Sickle Cell Disease. This special gathering will bring together scholars, families, healthcare leaders, community partners, and supporters for an afternoon focused on education, encouragement, awareness, and empowerment.
The keynote speaker for this year’s luncheon is Dr. Keisha R. Callins, MD, MPH, OBGYN with Community Health Care Systems, Inc. The event will also be hosted by LaDonna S. Jackson.

Guests will have the opportunity to celebrate youth warriors, recognize this year’s awardees, and support the ongoing work of MTS Sickle Cell Foundation as the organization continues raising awareness, support, and sensitivity surrounding Sickle Cell Disease.
